Routine maintenance and lint filter care

Keeping the lint filter and exterior clean helps the dryer run safely and efficiently. Follow these care steps regularly.

Before you clean - Unplug the appliance before cleaning. - Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, solvents, methylated spirits, or similar products on the appliance. These can damage the finish. - Never use steel wool or abrasive cleansers on any part of the dryer.

Clean the lint filter after every cycle Always remove lint from the filter after every drying cycle.

How to clean the lint filter 1. Open the dryer door. 2. Pull the lint filter straight up. 3. Remove lint from the filter: - For everyday cleaning, roll the lint off with your fingers, or - Vacuum the lint filter.

If the filter is heavily soiled If the lint filter becomes very dirty or clogged with fabric softener, wash it in warm, soapy water. - Let it dry thoroughly before putting it back in the dryer. - Never operate the appliance without the lint filter in place.

Clean the exterior Proper care can help extend the life of the appliance. - Clean the outside with warm water and a mild, nonabrasive household detergent. - Immediately wipe off any spills with a soft, damp cloth.
